The Qashqai (pronounced Ghash-gha-ee) is a nomadic tribe, known for their colorful, intricately patterned rugs.Qashqai rugs used natural dyes, with deep blues, ivory and characteristic red. Designs include plants, bird and many animal forms. The Qashqai were known for their 200 mile 5 week summer migration.
